(my intro) – If you read any media articles or get any newsletters, you can’t help but have seen the acronym, ‘JIC.’ So I asked Ollie to help us understand what exactly, ‘JIC’ is. Here is what he had to say:

In media, JIC stands for Joint Industry Committee. JICs are organizations that bring together different stakeholders in the industry, such as media owners, advertisers, and agencies, to provide standardized and impartial measurement and research. They are typically established to develop and promote industry-wide standards of measurement and research for media advertising. The main goal of JICs is to provide unbiased and accurate data on audience measurement and advertising effectiveness, which can be used to make informed decisions about media planning and buying
