METRIC MIKEY’S WEDNESDAY WORD

Open – as in MAKE OPEN FUNNEL

So today is actually a two-for. The plan (if you could call it that) was for Open to be the Wednesday word. Open, meaning, of course a funnel visualization report in GA Explore that does not force progression from one step to the next.

As an example, I was going to take a screen shot from the Google Demo (Merhcandise Store) account to show the line on the bar that shows the folks who started or entered the funnel from that (not first) stage.

BUT – in taking the screen shot, I learned something kind of cool. You can actually do a Segment Compare on a Funnel report. Who knew- Maybe a lot of people. Anyhow, I think it is cool. Unfortunately the picture doesn’t demonstrate the Openess of the funnel, other than the setting. But you can see the two segments…
