METRIC MIKEY’S TUESDAY TIP

So everyone I know who has been working with GA4 has had the ‘you can’t get there from here‘ moment.

One prime example is tying a Google Ad campaign to a (not yet set) conversion in Explore. A way to do this is to find a dimension (even a custom dimension) to filter the Acquisition Overview ‘canned’ report by. Voila.

Although it seems Explore reports may seem to be limited by the API ‘can’t get here from there’ export rules – you are good to go with customizing the canned report, even adding it to the Acquisition section…to make for some ‘shiny happy (analytics loving) people!
