Check yourself before your wreck yourself!
Sometimes I am so corny I even surprise myself. Anyhow – just meaning that chances are you may be capturing PII in your Google Analytic data, which you do NOT want to be doing.
It’s not hard to find – It takes maybe 5 minutes. Run a custom report for pages (dimension) and session (metric). Then search for @. You may be surprised that some of your pages have a lot of personal info in the URLs. This could happen because either you are posting form entries (POST) to the URL or writing it to the dataLayer.
If you do find it, just use the Data Deletion Request in the Property settings. You want to make sure you find the PII and get it removed before it becomes a bigger problem.
