As GA4 becomes more widely adopted, start thinking about visitors in a new way. Stop thinking about sessions and bounce – and start thinking about engaged visitors. These are visitors who have a session that lasted 10 seconds or longer, or had 1 or more conversion events or 2 or more page views. Not only does that filter out bots, but also only includes the old school non-bouncers. And now that criteria is customizable – so maybe not 2 pages, but four and maybe not 10 seconds, but 20.
