Little known (or little cared about..)fact – GTM (Google Tag Manager) has been around since 2012. As such, it is very common for websites to have accumulated a massive amount of tags (let’s say, no joke, 30 – 50 or more).
Now is a pretty good time to get into GTM and check these tags out – Prime time to weed out the ones that capture data for companies that no longer exist. Or, more importantly, time to get rid of (or at least modify) the ones that may be capturing PII.
